Transfers... Fuggedahboutit

I hate transfers sometimes. I have a really cool companion right now, and sadly... she is leaving me and being transferred to somewhere in Queens. Sister Mortensen is the coolest and I will miss her a lot. This was the first transfer where things were just easy, not so much the work, but everything else. I'm kind of in a bad mood today because of it. But I keep praying that I will get over it and be happy in the next transfer. It's only a 5 week transfer this time, so that we can catch up with the MTC's new schedule. Well this week was a busy week. We worked a lot with our mission leader in the ward, Hermano Munguia. He is super cool and hilarious. He also is on the BALL with missionary work this year so far. It's a new years resolution that he has. Let's start with Monday night though, we went to visit Hermano Vital who actually isn't a member, but his wife is and he comes with her to church every other sunday because he has to work. He is really nice. We went to their house to have a lesson and eat dinner. We asked him if he wanted to be baptized and he said yes, but that he wanted to wait until he had ALL sunday's off to get baptized. So I guess we are just waiting on that now. With time I know he will get baptized. Then there is Griselda. Griselda needs permission from her husband to get baptized. Because the church doesn't want to split up a family because of differing beliefs we don't want to push her to be baptized. So there is that.. trying to get a 21 year old girl with a 4 month old baby to be baptized, but she can't yet. With time.. she will figure things out too. We taught a full english class this week we had about 5 people there (that's a lot for us right now) and they all seemed really receptive to our gospel message after and are going to come to the open house that we are having on Saturday. I brought up the idea again in this ward because there are a lot more active members in this ward than there are in Midwood. So it's working out a lot better and I think that we are going to see a lot of success from it this time. It's this Saturday so pray for us. We are going to be advertising it all week like CRAZY! Then we will make it happen.
